University of Auckland B119 – Seismic Strengthening and Refurbishment

B119 is a heritage listed building originally built in the 1920’s for the University of Auckland’s City Campus. As part of this project, Argon undertook the seismic strengthening and internal refurbishment to provide new teaching and seminar spaces. The strengthening work included post tensioning to existing masonry walls, glass fibre fabric strengthening as well as new foundations, structural walls and strengthening to the existing roof and ceiling structure.

Significant refurbishment work was undertaken to the stonework and to the original timber windows, with a full internal fit out and services.
