30/06/2011 - First Transportable Dental Units Completed

The first TDU for Counties Manukau District Health Board and the first TDU for Waitemata District Health Board were completed and transported to school sites in Auckland.

The steel frame for the first of 21 Transportable Dental Units being constructed at Argon’s Warehouse for the Counties Manukau and Waitemata District Health Boards arrived this afternoon ready to be fitted out and transported to sites throughout Auckland.










21/06/2009 - Royal Site Visit

The King and Queen of Spain recently toured through our site “Blue Water Black Magic – A Tribute to Sir Peter Blake”. King Juan Carlos and Queen Sophia, along with Lady Pippa Blake and Auckland Mayor John Banks were shown through the site prior to unveiling a commemoration plaque in honour of their visit. Argon’s connections with the Spanish King and Queen go back to 1992 when Argon built the New Zealand Pavilion for Expo ’92 in Seville Spain. The royal couple toured the Expo site on opening day.

17/12/2007 - 2007 Hovering Competition

In another outstanding display of sporting brilliance, Argon Construction’s “City Branch” has won the inaugural 2007 Helicopter Hovering competition. Despite fierce competition from the “Village People” they were unable to match the precision flying and sheer brilliance displayed by City Branch’s Ben Kent. Chief Judge Rianne Cole said at the awards dinner presentation that the skill and commitment shown by all of the City Branch team sent out a strong message to the other competitors that they would have to raise their game if they wanted to compete in next years competition. The Hovering Cup comes hard on the heels of other recent City Branch wins: Karting Champs, Fly Fishing being the most recent

On Wednesday night 40 of Argon Constructions clients and staff competed in the 2007 200 lap Argon Go-Kart Grand Prix. Todd, Chris, Jeff, Steve & Myles (pictured) won the race with Myles also completing the fastest lap.

14/06/2005 - Parachuting Day

On a recent Sunday afternoon, staff and their families gathered at Mercer to go parachuting. The plane ascended to 12,000 ft. For the parachutists the first 8,000 ft was freefall and the balance a gentle drop back to earth.

Matt has recently graduated from The University of Auckland with a Bachelor of Engineering with First Class Honours. Matt is currently based at The Grand Apartments site in Auckland city.

Drinks were recently held for Jack Millet who has retired from Argon after more than 30 years service with the company.
